Olympus Water and Theme Park in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin is giving parkgoers The Rise of Icarus. The mega waterslide, named after a character in Greek mythology, is currently open. It contains five slides, one of which is a jaw-dropping 145 feet tall.



A 12,000-square-foot children's play area is on the way, making it a destination for the whole family. Icarus is a character from Greek mythology whose wings burned off by getting too close to the sun. The metaphor is fitting for the tallest waterslide in the US.

In addition to the slides, Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park is seeing even more additions. There is now a VIP cabana area, all equipped with air conditioning.
