Wednesday, June 5, 2024 Dubai launches a $96.56 million project to transform Al Mamzar and Jumeirah 1 into premier beach destinations, enhancing both appeal and access. Pursuant to the directives from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, along with the stewardship of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Dubai Committee on Urban Planning and Wellness has initiated a major upgrade of Al Mamzar and Jumeirah 1 beaches.

This initiative, covering 5.7 kilometers, involves an investment of AED 355 million. Expected to be completed within 18 months, this initiative signifies a transformative leap in beachfront design.



It includes comprehensive overhauls aimed at enhancing the appeal and functionality of the beaches, positioning them amongst the world’s premier coastal destinations. This development not only upgrades recreational offerings for beachgoers, water sports aficionados, and night swimming enthusiasts but also promotes Dubai’s beaches as top-tier tourist attractions. Aligned with the Dubai Public Beach Master Plan, this development seeks to implement sustainable coastal and beach facility solutions.

These projects are integral to the broader Dubai Economic Agenda D33, Dubai Urban Plan 2040, and Dubai Quality of Life Strategy .
