LARKSPUR, Colo. — An aircraft crashed in Larkspur Sunday morning. A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said two people were on board a twin-engine Tecnam P2006T when it crash on Interstate 25 in the area of Spruce Mountain Road and Sky View Lane.
The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. The conditions of the people on board were not immediately available.
A Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) camera in the area showed emergency vehicles and fire apparatus blocking the three right lanes of traffic. The FAA said they and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will be investigating the crash with the NTSB leading the investigation. According to maps of the area, there's an airstrip just west of the interstate around the area where the crash occurred.
