Wednesday, July 3, 2024 Today marked the inaugural AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sihanoukville, a notable coastal destination and the provincial capital of Sihanoukville Province in Cambodia, often referred to locally as Kampong Som. The flight, AK 264, took off from Terminal 2 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12:10 PM and touched down at Sihanoukville International Airport, also known as Kang Keng Airport, at 1:00 PM local time. Upon arrival, passengers were greeted with a traditional Khmer dance performance and a warm reception by officials from the Cambodia Airport Authority and the AirAsia Allstars team.
AirAsia has now established a direct route from Kuala Lumpur to Sihanoukville, offering three weekly flights.
