Wednesday, July 3, 2024 AirAsia has reaffirmed its status as the top foreign airline operating in China by introducing two new routes to Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. These flights, departing from Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, enhance the airline’s connectivity in the region and mark Ningbo as the 17th Chinese destination in AirAsia’s network. Starting from August 1, travelers can embark on direct flights from Kuala Lumpur and from August 2 from Kota Kinabalu, each offering three weekly services to Ningbo.

In celebration of this expansion, AirAsia has launched enticing promotional offers, with one-way fares starting at RM268 from Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, and as low as CNY138 for flights originating from Ningbo. These special rates are available through the AirAsia MOVE app or its website until July 7, 2024, for journeys planned between August 1 and October 26, 2024. This offer coincides with the visa-free access that Malaysians enjoy for tourist visits to China, lasting up to 30 days through the end of 2025.



Ningbo itself presents a treasure trove of cultural and historic attractions, making it an ideal destination for brief cultural trips. Among its highlights is the Tian Yi Ge, the oldest library in China, which reflects the deep historical roots of the 16th century. For those who appreciate natural beauty, Dongqian Lake offers stunning mountainous views and tranquil landscapes.
