Founded in 2001 by Tony Fernandes and Kamarudin Meranun, AirAsia started with the acquisition of a struggling airline equipped with just two aircraft and 200 employees.
Today, it stands as Asia’s fourth largest airline, operating a fleet exceeding 200 aircraft and employing over 21,000 staff across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, and beyond.
