Not only is Asia the most favored non-European region, but it’s also gaining traction, with a 52% increase in accommodation searches by Europeans compared to last year, as per Agoda’s records. Notably, searches for accommodations in India by Europeans have risen by 26%.

Agoda’s data indicates that the most sought-after Asian destinations by Europeans are Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan, in that order, with Malaysia and the Philippines also making the list. These countries cater to a diverse array of interests, from the dynamic street life and historical landmarks in Bangkok to the surfer-friendly shores of Bali, illustrating the broad appeal of Asian locales. The highest volume of searches comes from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands.



India is the ninth most popular Asian destination among Europeans, with the most searches originating from the United Kingdom, followed by Germany, Spain, France, and the Netherlands.
