Tuesday, May 28, 2024 JFK Millennium Partners, selected by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to build and operate JFK Airport’s new $4.2 billion Terminal 6, announced that Aer Lingus will make Terminal 6 its new home and start operations on the first day of its opening in early 2026. Aer Lingus will also open a signature lounge in Terminal 6, offering a modern space with greater seating capacity for enhanced passenger comfort.

Passengers can look forward to a boutique, state-of-the-art terminal with short walking distances to and from gates, curated artwork, and 100,000 square feet of NYC-inspired shopping and dining. A new Aer Lingus check-in space offers a seamless experience with self-service bag drop options for added convenience. Aer Lingus customers can also enjoy seamless connectivity within the same terminal with partner JetBlue.



Aer Lingus operates twice daily nonstop flights from JFK Terminal 7 to Dublin, daily flights to Shannon, Ireland, and daily flights to Manchester, England, using Airbus A330 and A321LR aircraft. A dedicated Aer Lingus lounge is available for premium passengers at JFK Terminal 7. With US Pre-Clearance facilities in Dublin and Shannon, Aer Lingus passengers clear US immigration and customs before boarding, ensuring an easy exit upon arrival at JFK.
