The A14 is likely to be closed for "some time" on the outskirts of Ipswich after a crash. Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway, near to junction 54 for Sproughton, at about 5.45pm on Tuesday following reports of a collision.
Both the eastbound and westbound carriageways are currently closed between junction 55 at the Copdock Interchange and Junction 53 at Whitehouse. A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "The road is likely to be closed for some time, so we would ask for drivers to find alternative routes at this time.".
