Michigan Avenue (formerly the John Hancock Center), has unveiled a fully revamped entry concourse to enrich the visitor experience and honor Chicago’s diverse communities and culture. Revealed on April 25th, the comprehensive, multimillion-dollar renovations cover over 5,000 sq.ft.



and commenced in January 2024, marking the first major update since 2014. The former vinyl wall designs have been replaced with immersive digital installations, enhanced by local artists’ artwork, videos, and photography. The journey to the 94th-floor observation deck at 360 CHICAGO is now an added experience, immersing guests in the cultural tapestry of Chicago’s neighborhoods and communities before they ascend to view the cityscape from 1,030 feet above.

The new design encompasses Chicago’s history, distinctive neighborhoods, Lake Michigan, cultural festivities, street fairs, sports, architecture, music, cuisine, and more, providing a rich and engaging prelude to the breathtaking views from above. “As one of Chicago’s most popular attractions, it is important that our experience and the new digital installations honor the building and the city’s legacy, while reflecting the vibrant and diverse city that 360 CHICAGO res.
