A YOUNG Irish mum has just four months left to live after simple symptoms led to cancer diagnosis. Rachael, aged just 22-years-old, started experiencing symptoms eight months ago and received the devastating terminal cancer diagnosis last month. The terminal diagnosis has led her parents to set up a GoFundMe to raise money to get Rachael to Germany for potentially life extending treatment, in the hopes of giving them more time with their daughter.

The Belfast native has revealed she is writing future birthday cards for her daughter Raeya after an MRI identified a diffuse midline glioma brain tumour with a rare and aggressive H3K27 mutation, which is also spreading down her spine. Opening up about her diagnosis earlier this month to BelfastLive Rachael's thoughts were on her young daughter who she shares with her partner Robert. She said: "Whenever I find out at first about the diagnosis I ordered loads of different envelopes and stuff so that I can write all her birthday cards for her for when I’m not here to give her them, so that stuff just isn’t easy.

” "Everyone has said about just how brave I have been but I just think that if I let myself get really down I'll just sort of spiral.
