York Regional Police has released video footage taken from by their Air Support Unit allegedly showing the driver of a white Lamborghini Urus speeding and trying to flee from police. Police say the Lamborghini was caught travelling at over 200 kilometres per hour in Vaughan on Highway 407 near Dufferin Street just before 1 a.m.
on Sunday. With the help from their aerial support unit, officers followed the driver to a residential street near Leslie Street and Summerdale Drive in Markham. They tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver reportedly fled and struck a “tire deflation device.
” “He’s running, he’s running we tried to stop him,” an officer can be heard saying over the police radio. “I can confirm he has a good hit on at least one tire,” replies an Air Support Unit officer. The car is then seen entering the 407 highway westbound.
