This Southern California destination is only an hour away from Los Angeles and an hour and a half from San Diego yet it’s flown under my radar because I’m not a gambler.
In fact, I only ended up making a trip to Yaamava’ because I’m a huge Nicks fan and I hadn’t seen since her Fleetwood Mac days. I’m embarrassed to admit that I was shocked she would be playing there. Lesson learned about not judging a luxury resort and top entertainment venue by its casino cover.
It turns out that Yaamava’ is a Forbes Four-Star property, its Pines Modern Steakhouse a Forbes Four-Star restaurant and its Serrano Spa earning a whopping Five Stars. After spending a couple of amazing days at Yaamava’, experiencing as much as I could fit in, I’m a fan and am determined to make up for lost time.
