Ubisoft is taking XDefiant servers offline for maintenance but we're not expecting any significant updates to roll out, with executive producer, Mark Rubin, saying a patch is on the way next week. XDefiant launched at the tail end of May, after missing its original summer 2023 launch and getting indefinitely delayed to give the extra development time it needed. We're currently in the XDefiant Preseason era which seems like a very convoluted way to rebrand an early access period.
And while there have been matchmaking issues to tackle, on the plus side, players can scoop up free in-game rewards every week with the XDefiant Twitch Drops which are refreshed weekly throughout the six-week preseason. It's had a single patch roll out since then, with another set to drop next week, according to executive producer, Mark Rubin, on Twitter , but there's going to be a period of scheduled maintenance today that will bring the XDefiant servers offline for around an hour, although that may be longer if things don't go smoothly. XDefiant servers will go down at 2pm BST / 9am EDT / 6am PDT today, Tuesday, June 4 and are scheduled to back up and running at 3pm BST / 10am EDT / 7am PDT, as per a Twitter post from the @PlayXDefiant account.
Given the comments from Rubin, it's unlikely that we're going to see patch notes after the fact, but hopefully, any lingering matchmaking issues will be ironed out. Since the game was released a couple of weeks ago, we've had the preseason patch, which rolled.
