The World Science Fiction Convention is returning to Glasgow for the first time since 2005 with a huge weekend of events in August. Worldcon has been running for more than 80 years and has been in Glasgow just once before, and that was 19 years ago. It's also the first time in a decade that it has been hosted in the UK, with 2014's event taking place in London.
People from 63 countries are expected to attend over the course of four days and the majority of people who will be attending are from outside the UK. The non-profit event is entirely run by volunteers and is forecast to bring in more than £6million to the city's economy .
