When 26-year-old Holly Howes hit the club in the ‘ sustainable ’ outfit of her dreams, she didn’t think it would become one her biggest fashion faux pas of all-time. But that was exactly the case. In an attempt to put together an eco-conscious look, Holly sourced a stylish white and grey-striped shirt from a charity shop that she thought was the ultimate Friday night get-up.

,’ she recalled on TikTok of her night out at London’s Mare Street Market. It was only upon closer inspection that Holly discovered that the shirt was, in fact, part of the Waitrose uniform. The tell-tale sign? Oh, you know, just the brand’s logo, which was etched onto the cuff.
‘I’m going up to the bartender asking for drinks with these on my wrist’, she explained, showcasing the sleeve of the shirt. ‘I literally look like I’m on my way to do a f***ing night shift!’ We’ve heard of work-to-night outfits, but this interpretation is perhaps a tad too literal. In the hilarious video, Holly went on to describe the mortifying scene in more detail: ‘I’m in the club, I’m dancing, having a good time.
