Tuesday, July 2, 2024 In a landmark celebration, Wizz Air , an ultra-low-cost airline, invites select guests to Hamburg on July 11th to mark its 20th anniversary of collaboration with Airbus. Since its inaugural flight on May 19, 2004, Wizz Air has relied on Airbus and today operates a fleet of over 200 ultramodern Airbus A320 family aircraft. A significant 61% of these are neo models, equipped with new generation engines that provide notable environmental benefits.
The exclusive event in Hamburg will feature an extensive program designed to showcase the long-standing partnership between Wizz Air and Airbus. Guests will enjoy a guided tour of the Airbus factory, providing a unique behind-the-scenes look at the production of these state-of-the-art aircraft. One of the event’s highlights is the unveiling of Wizz Air’s new livery, symbolizing the airline’s continuous evolution and commitment to innovation.
The celebration will include a press event and lunch attended by key figures from both Wizz Air and Airbus. Notable attendees include Yvonne Moynihan, Corporate and ESG Officer at Wizz Air; Owain Jones, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Wizz Air; and Christoph Zammert, Head of Program – A320 Family at Airbus. These executives will share insights into the successful collaboration and future plans.
The event begins on July 10th with flights from London to Hamburg, followed by an overnight stay. The main celebration kicks off at 9 am on.
