Yoghurt doesn't enjoy much popularity in Kerala yet, but Kerala-made yoghurt is impressing many including the Ambanis of late. Thrissur native Nahaz Basheer's yoghurt brand ‘cremberie’ was part of Anant Ambani's pre-wedding bash feast and it also enjoys popularity among major top-notch hotels. The youngster, who did his management studies in Qatar, started a yoghurt business to tap into the love for the product among Gulf-returnee Malayalis.
“ Yogurt is a sought-after delicacy in the Gulf countries, Europe and the US. Many people have yoghurt first thing in the morning. The Keralites who had lived in other countries for a long, crave yoghurt when they return to their home country,” says Nahaz, who started cremberie.
