Will Kirk has been impressing viewers of The Repair Shop for more than seven years, but has managed to keep his personal life out of the spotlight . The quiet furniture restorer is a beloved member of the skilled team on the BBC show, and has brought clients- and viewers - to tears when he works his magic to transform precious family antiques. Will studied graphic design at university, before honing his skills at the London School of Furniture, with a qualification in Antique Furniture Restoration and Conservation. “I started my own business. My father had passed away and I inherited a bit of money but not too much that I could go wild but enough for me to get a workshop and print out some flyers,” Will told The TV Carpenter podcast. “I just spent months handing flyers out and hearing nothing.

I think I made £890 in my first year. That went down well with my girlfriend. Nice, solid man to future marry,” Will joked.

Despite the initial wobbles, his business began to grow, and he was offered a job on .
