Wei , a Manhattan-based cosmetic dentist, spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about the best ways to naturally whiten your teeth.

He began with the basics, maintaining good oral hygiene through regular flossing and brushing. "[This] can help prevent stains on your teeth and keep them looking brighter," he explained. The expert also recommended using a cheap kitchen ingredient to keep your pearly whites looking pearly and white.

"Baking soda is a natural whitening agent that can help remove surface stains on teeth," Dr. Wei said. He recommended mixing baking soda with water and using the paste to brush your teeth a "few times a week.

" Dr. Wei also advised anyone hoping to brighten their teeth to use diluted hydrogen peroxide as a "mild whitening agent." "You can swish a mixture of equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide in your mouth for a minute or two before spitting it out," he said.
