Gorgeous open-world RPG Where Winds Meet has reemerged at Sony's State of Play today, and is no longer a PC exclusive. Alongside a new trailer, we learned that Where Winds Meet will also be headed to PS5, though we're still not sure exactly when. In a PlayStation Blog post, we learned a little more about Where Winds Meet, specifically its take on showcasing Chinese martial arts.
From the blog: Where Winds Meet is set in the Ten Kingdoms Era during a battle between rival dynasties, where the player takes the role of a swordsman who will influence the conflict in different ways depending on their choices. It's influenced heavily by Wuxia, a Chinese fiction genre where ancient Chinese fighters are depicted with superhuman abilities. This influence, according to the blog, will become evidence both in the protagonist's abilities and choice, as well as in the behavior and styles of certain NPCs.
Where Winds Meet was first revealed back at Gamescom Opening Night Live in 2022 from Chinese developer Everstone Studios.
