Dating is already a big part of The Sims 4, but Lovestruck brings it into the apocalyptic present with a virtual app called Cupid’s Corner. You make a profile, tag whether you are into men or women (or both), and can also specify your age group.
Prefer “young adult” or “elderly”? No problem. Cupid’s Corner offers the classic swipe and like dating app interface, and rifling through profiles offers the same limited information required when you set up your own profile. This is pretty thin stuff, but there was already interest in this area among The Sims 4 fans.
A modder called Lumpinou has released a Meet&Mingle dating mod, and runs a popular pattern off the back of their The Sims 4 modding efforts. The rival SimDa dating app mod has attracted millions of downloads. The Sims 4’s app-based dating goes official on July 25, when the Lovestruck expansion is due for release.
This date will also make a significant change to the base game, whether or not you purchase Lovestruck.
