I’ve played guitar and composed for Fond of Tigers and Limbs of the Stars, and played drums in a variety of things, including a new experimental trio called Gowns that will start engaging with the outside world soon. In recent years, I’ve also taken up with theatre and performance types. A phase? A midlife crisis? Perhaps, but it’s been really interesting to collaborate on very intentional projects with creative people who approach things from different disciplines.
A Pi Theatre presentation and Canadian premiere, Medicine is definitely that. It’s challenging and layered, both technically and in mood. Lots of stuff going on from laughter to darkness, with loads of sound, light, set, costume, and movement details throughout the show.
