CLEVELAND, Ohio — Francisco Lindor makes his return to Cleveland when the Guardians host the Mets in the opener of a three-game series Monday at Progressive Field. On Monday’s podcast, Paul Hoynes and Joe Noga look at what Lindor has done since he was traded to New York and why the reaction could be mixed when Cleveland fans greet him at the ballpark. Joe Noga (00:15): Welcome back to the Cleveland Baseball Talk podcast.

I’m Joe Noga, joined by Paul Hos Hoey, just like we predicted, the Guardians came out, swept the Minnesota Twins dominated a three game weekend series. The City Connect uniforms looked great, the offense looked even better and the pitching was out of this world. What do you think of the guardians coming out and being five and oh right now against Minnesota on the season? Paul Hoynes (00:40): It is Joe.

I’m trying to put it all together man. It is like the perfect storm in reverse. It couldn’t have gone much better this weekend.

They had great crowds, great games, and like you said, the pitching was off the charts and what like two kind of sating late inning winds, especially Sunday. Geez. Oh man.

They gave it away and then they took it back. Joe Noga (01:07): Yeah, we’ll get to what they did on Sunday in the ninth inning here in a few minutes, but just from the big picture, from the 300 foot perspective here, just taking a step back and viewing this, they beat the twins in every way possible. They beat them with home runs.

They beat them with nick.
