Wetherby Bridge, located where the A661 Boston Road crosses the River Wharfe, is set for a three night closure next month. The road closure is to allow for the principal inspection of the bridge. It was rescheduled from April 2024 after the underbridge unit broke down.

A spokesperson for Leeds City Council said: “Wetherby Bridge is being closed to allow access for a routine inspection over a three night period from June 12-14 inclusive, from 8pm until 6am. “Diversions will be in place while the inspection is being carried out and we thank road users for their patience.
