Even if the studio hadn’t responded, this date announcement is pretty clearly related to Peele’s mysterious fourth film, which was announced in March 2023—two months before the start of the WGA strike—and originally slated for a Christmas 2024 release. But as disappointing as it is not to have a new Peele movie to look forward to this year, that slot in Universal’s schedule is now taken up by none other than , so you win some you lose some.
