The Weedsport Fire Department will host its annual Field Days this weekend, featuring three days of parades, rides, live music and more. Festivities will kick off at noon Thursday, June 6, with lunch at the field, located at Route 31 and Towpath Road in the village. At 6 p.

m., rides by Playland Amusements will open with a Buddy Day special, and the children's parade will take place. DJ Piper will also provide music from 6 to 9 p.

m. The field will reopen at noon Friday, June 7, with lunch. Rides will open at 6 p.

m., followed by the Grand Parade at 7 p.m.

, a department auxiliary cake booth at 8 p.m. and live music by No Filter from 8 p.

Saturday, June 8, will be the busiest day of the event. At noon the field will reopen for lunch, DJ Piper will provide music until 4 p.m.

A fire department horseshoe tournament will start at 1 p.m., and Erie Canal Lodge No.

141 will host a cornhole tournament beginning at 6 p.m. The final night of Field Days will feature music by Southbound Train from 8 p.

m. to midnight. A Weedsport tradition on the first weekend of June, the Field Days have taken place since at least the 1930s.
