TINY home enthusiasts Kathlyn and Lincoln took a break from their small Los Angeles space after 10 years. Soon enough, they found themselves missing the tiny space and sought to find a smaller Idaho home that suited their simple needs. Kathlyn and Lincoln hunkered down for ten years in a 400-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles .
Putting together the money they saved, the couple built their dream home at 1,600 square feet. Though the vintage bungalow in Boise, Idaho was beautiful, it didn't quite suit the couple like the tiny space they once knew and loved. Setting out to find another dainty dwelling of their dreams, they prepared to make a move with the help of the Home Made Nation show, Tiny House Nation .
In a YouTube video of a season three episode, they sought to reclaim their old lifestyle back with a budget of $125,000. Kathlyn and Lincoln visited three tiny homes in the Boise area before settling on a 200-square-foot space made entirely out of bales of hay. The rustic cottage is adorned with stained-glass windows and ceilings made of barn siding, complete with a secluded brick patio.
While storage was sparse in the bedroom with only a wardrobe and shelving on either side of the bed, the couple figured out a seamless hack for the kitchen. What Kathlyn described as a "basically perfect" addition to the kitchen, the pot rack allows the couple to save loads of space. Pots and pans hang above appliances on a metal and wire oval rack, in a streamlined fashion.
