JUDE BELLINGHAM has taken centre stage of Adidas' new Euro 2024 advert - and it has been an overwhelming hit with fans. The two-minute video is backed by The Beatles' timeless hit 'Hey Jude' and showcases a number of notable faces including rapper Stormzy and presenter Laura Woods . A number of former Three Lions stars including David Beckham , Ian Wright and Frank Lampard also make appearances.

The ad is titled 'Hey Jude' and features a slow, gloomy rendition of the track to correspond with England's previous shortcomings in European competitions. But, this summer, England fans will be hoping that the national team can take a sad song and make it better when they step out onto the pitch for Euro 2024. It's been three years since the team's final defeat on penalties at Euro 2020, and 58 long years of hurt since they last won a major international tournament.

Adidas has latched on to that emotion of despair and lingering dreams for its new ad campaign, with Woods looking anxious at the start. It begins with fans sitting on a sofa and reacting to England legend Paul Gascoigne 's 'Golden Goal' miss against Germany in the semi-final of Euro 1996. It was 1-1 in extra-time with a place in the final awaiting, but England went on to crash out on penalties with now manager Gareth Southgate 's scuffed penalty saved in the shoot-out.

It follows with downcast voiceovers from commentators as they react to the next few disappointing campaigns, which saw England exit in the group stage of E.
