When style and value for money combine, you get a product like the VQ Skylark True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds. In collaboration with the renowned UK brand Cath Kidston, VQ produced the Skylark earbuds, which are available in three stylish designs: Bees, Story Tree, and Strawberry Garden Blue. Design and build Unboxing the VQ Skylark is a good indication, as even the packaging itself is elegant, hinting at the stylish product inside.
The Cath Kidston designs stand out in a sea of bland, monochrome earbuds, but their appeal will not be to everyone's taste. According to VQ, the earbuds draw inspiration from the Skylark, a bird celebrated in literature, poetry, art, and music. They aim to blend the beauty and grace of this bird with modern technology at a fraction of the cost of flagship earbuds.
The design is lightweight and comfortable, making it easy to wear for extended periods without discomfort. There’s no denying that despite the gorgeous exterior case design, the VQ Skylark look very similar to the AirPods Pro. When I compared the two cases side-by-side, the AirPods Pro were smaller and a little more pocketable.
The buds share some of the same design language as Apple’s popular earbuds, but the VQ Skarlark are larger again. The chrome accents outside the bud's stem and where the case cover joins the body are my least favourite parts of the design, even though I still think the entire thing looks great. Though I would prefer the Bee design, which uses gold accents inst.
