Despite everything that's on offer, Virgin Australia has revealed the airline's most popular onboard snack is in fact the trusty cheese and cracker combo. In fact, the tasty treat is so popular the airline says it is serving on average 50,000 packets each month (2024 year to date average).

That's over 1,500 packets a day. READ MORE: Hotel openings to get excited about in 2024 It comes as Virgin unveiled its brand-new Business Class menu alongside 12 new additions to the airline's Economy Class buy onboard menu, one of the biggest updates to its onboard food and beverage menu in five years. Among this is the airline's biggest selection of new Economy buy onboard menu items, as well as a selection of value items for flyers wanting to snack mid-flight.

Given the popularity of the cheese and cracker staple, its no surprise it's getting an upgrade as well with the introduction of artisan mature-aged cheese and crackers. And for those with a sweet tooth, the airline has also added Pascall Jet Plane lollies to the menu.

Economy Class customers on longer routes to and from Perth or on select international flights will also be able to.
