Families living near the pub bought by the comedian - who is facing allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour from a number of women - were in uproar over the plans with locals accusing Brand of treating their picturesque village like a 'playground'. Fifty three neighbours objected to his first application to convert The Crown in Pishill, Oxfordshire into a recording studio and the plans were rejected by the council in February.
But just two weeks later, Brand's production company - Pablo Diablo's Legitimate Business Firm Limited submitted another application calling for the pub's first floor to be made into offices with the garage and cottage converted into a filming studio. Despite a target decision date being set for April 12, no decision by South Oxfordshire District Council issued by this time and Brand's team withdrew the plans on June 19. It is currently unclear why the plans were withdrawn and MailOnline has contacted Russell Brand and South Oxfordshire District Council for comment.
