Friday, May 24, 2024 Viasat , a global leader in satellite communications, has announced a collaboration with Azercosmos to extend its highly reliable L-band satellite services to Azerbaijan and the surrounding regions. This partnership aims to enhance connectivity for various industrial applications, enabling organizations to operate more efficiently, sustainably, and safely, even in remote areas. Applications powered by this service will include tracking and telemetry for advanced transport systems, pipeline monitoring and control for energy companies, real-time control for utilities, and environmental or safety monitoring for mining and agriculture.

Azercosmos, which offers a wide range of telecommunications, remote sensing, surveying, and ground station communication services to both public and private sectors, will significantly expand its connectivity offerings through this collaboration. This will allow Azercosmos to provide more services to existing and new customers, complementing the connectivity from its current satellite fleet. This collaboration marks the first time Viasat-enabled satellite services will be available in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
