Organisers of Urban Music People (UMP) Festival to be held at Cape Maclear from October 25 to 28 2024, Chitoliro Productionz, have released a broad line-up of acts set to star at the event. The comprehensive line-up includes both local and international artists, some of which were already announced. Dubbed UMP 2024: The Evolution, the festival is expected to bring to the people artists in different art disciplines including music, drama and film.
The international artists include Zihle Madela, Ntuja, Maveriq Mavo and Naimah from South Africa, The Ells from Namibia, Raven Duchess and Faray the Great from Zimbabwe, Okie Worldwide from Tanzania, Muhunja from Kenya, Anesi from Nigeria and The Remnants from Zambia. The other international acts are Priest the Poet from Kenya, Luleka Mhlanzi and Thabo Mabaso from South Africa and Zambia’s visual artist Kwandu Muyamwa. The list of the local acts includes Onesimus, Phyzix, Giboh Pearson, Temwah, Tuno, Afana Ceez, Zonke Too Fresh, Trumel, Bucci, Nepman and Stich Fray.
The others are Pop Young, Sean Morgan, Anthony Makondetsa, Tuff Lions Band, Soul Jive, Born Afrikan and Ethel Kamwendo-Banda. The list also includes poets such as Nyamalikiti Nthiwatiwa, Q Malewezi and Refilwe Ntopa as well as dramatists Migrant Arts and University of Malawi and fashion deisgners such as Doll Mabel and Vivietta Designs.
