Monday, May 27, 2024 Ural Airlines has restarted its flight services on the Sochi–Bishkek route, marking a significant reactivation of international connections from Sochi International Airport. Today, the first flight jetted off from Sochi to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s most populous city, aboard the spacious Airbus A320, which seats 162 travelers. A total of 112 passengers embarked on the inaugural flight from this key southern gateway.
Flights are scheduled to depart from Sochi every Saturday at 09:30, landing in Bishkek at 16:25 local time after a flight duration of nearly four hours. Return flights from Bishkek are also on Saturdays, taking off at 17:40 and arriving in Sochi at 19:10 local time, with the journey taking four and a half hours. Among the first to check in were brothers Roman and Maxim Kulemin, traveling to visit their grandmother, a journey made memorable with special gifts from the Sochi airport staff.
Additionally, all passengers on the inaugural journey enjoyed specially made branded gingerbread. The Sochi–Bishkek route has been operational since 2021, exclusively serviced by Ural Airlines. From 2021 to 2023, the airline has facilitated travel for over 25,000 passengers on this route.
