If you're green with envy over pals' jet-setting snaps on Instagram, fear not - as this travel hacker is loaded with thrifty tips. Popular travel influencer, known as @emsbudgettravel on TikTok, spilled the beans on one of her "favourite" destinations that set her back less than £200. And it looks like it's one of Europe's most slept-on spots.
So forget expensive trips to the scenic Lake Como or the aesthetic white buildings of Santorini, as Em's claimed Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the best places to jet off to on a budget. Her vid's caption was bang on: "My favourite country of 2024 and one of the cheapest and most underrated in Europe! Perfect for a budget couples holiday or girls' trip." Having ticked off nine countries this year alone, Em's crowned Bosnia and Herzegovina her number one.
She's branded it a "hidden gem", pointing out that Ryanair's now dishing out dirt-cheap flights there, reports . In her four-day adventure, Em only forked out £158.44 - a proper bargain that included "flights, accommodation, food, activities, transport - literally everything".
She's backed up the buzz that it's one of the "cheapest countries to visit in Europe". Em bunked down in Sarajevo, the capital, calling it "beautiful" and a place that "felt really safe". The traveller was all praise for the local hospitality and the breathtaking views of "mountains, rivers, lakes and waterfalls" in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
She urged her followers to visit Mostar, a gem just two hours from Sara.
