The dates for the next year were released in the official UAE Gazette, which details the holidays for the country’s public as well as private sector employees.
As is the case every year, the official days for most Islamic occasions will only be confirmed close to the date of the moon sighting, however, the calendar offers enough information to plan holidays tentatively. Below, see all dates on the 2025 public holiday calendar for the UAE January 1, 2025: New Year’s Day Ramadan 29/30-Shawaal 3: Eid Al-Fitr. While these are the dates on the Islamic calendar, the corresponding days on the Gregorian calendar will only be determined closer to the festival, according to the moon sighting.
Dhu Al Hijjah 9: Arafat Day Dhu Al Hijjah 10-12: Eid Al Adha. Similar to Eid Al-Adha Muharram 1: Islamic New Year Rabi Al Awwal 12: Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday. The Gregorian calendar date for the occasion will also be confirmed closer to the day.
