The CEO and I don’t go out to movies anymore. Oh, we used to, drive-in theaters (when we were younger), then 25-cent movies on the post at the former Fort Bragg and some good ones at indoor theaters. Personally, I liked the old majestic theaters with scroll work on the walls and large heavy curtains, not so much today on the sound boxes that beat on your ear drums.
One constant — other than at the drive-ins — was some kind of snack. My personal preference was popcorn. There was a rumor (which I started) that I would kill for popcorn but it was unproven.
The CEO liked, as I recall, Milk Duds. On occasion we would opt for Boston Baked Beans. The unfamiliar would question serving baked beans in theaters and rightfully so (very messy).
