It’s been four months since the Kansas City Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl title , but Travis Kelce isn’t done celebrating just yet. On Saturday, the star tight end threw his second annual Kelce Jam presented by Jim Beam for a crowd of 20,000 fans just across the Missouri state line at the Azura Amphitheater.
The outdoor festival saw performances by Lil Wayne , 2 Chainz , Diplo, DJ Irie, and DJ E-V along with cameos from teammates quarterback Patrick Mahomes and offensive lineman Trey Smith. Yet before the night kicked-off, Kelce walked through the fest grounds in the afternoon, hyping up waves of attendees dressed in Chiefs jerseys and donning Taylor Swift tees (the pop icon was throwing her party in Sweden that day for the Eras tour alas, and wasn’t in attendance). From knocking back shots of Jim Beam bourbon out of a slice of cured ham to stopping by the red carpet for notable quips, Kelce’s enthusiasm for his city proved limitless.
As the sunset slipped into the evening, Kelce took to the stage and shouted to the sold-out crowd: “Are you ready to jam?” As fans roared back in unison, the star player yelled: “Through all my years in [Kansas City], life could be no better than right the fuck now.” True to those words, Kelce reveled in the night’s celebrations, moving in and out of sets as DJ Irie kept.
