The holiday plans for many people could be marred by the presence of wastewater pollution in the seawater around this famous beach. Local authorities haven't taken any chances and put up notices after seawater tested positive for a significant amount of wastewater pollutants.

The basic goal of these warnings is to protect the health of both locals and tourists since the water has shown traces of Escherichia coli bacteria, more commonly known as E.coli. To handle this situation, local authorities are currently working on a project which will reroute wastewater from La Vera and Las Dehesas directly to the Comarcal Treatment Plant, thus bypassing the Playa Jardin pumping station as reported by Canarian Weekly, reports the Express .
