T.O.P has shared his thoughts on the cancellation of SpaceX’s dearMoon project.

On June 1, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa announced the cancellation of his “dearMoon” mission, a lunar tourism project which was intended to be the first-ever private flight around the moon. Back in 2022, T.O.

P was one of the eight artists selected to take part in the expedition as crew members. The day after the announcement, T.O.

P took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message in English regarding the cancellation. The former BIGBANG member also hinted at the release of new music by mentioning that his preparations for the mission had inspired him “to compose a lot of new music, some of which I look forward to sharing soon.” T.

He selected and brought together beautiful artists from all over the world to embark on a mission to travel to the moon and create art inspired by this journey. This was the greatest and most beautiful art project for the development of mankind that no one in the world would have dared to imagine, and the courage to even attempt this mission was truly extraordinary to witness.
