has revealed heartbreaking final texts from husband Paul Chase as he begged "forgive me". The 41-year-old soldier tragically took his own life in March, with his Shameless star wife believing that his anxiety and depression had been triggered by PTSD. Tina claims his illness - of which he had received a formal diagnosis three years prior - ultimately led to his death.
On reflection, Tina confessed that she knew straight away that there was something terribly wrong. Her husband had first failed to come home and then she heard the sirens as the police came to visit her home. Speaking with , Tina was in tears as she opened up about Paul's final texts to her.
In the early hours of the morning, Paul begged her for forgiveness just hours before he died, sadly leaving behind Tina and their 10-year-old daughter Flame. He wrote: "Tina, you gave me everything. I love you unconditionally.
You made my life perfect throughout the chaos. Forgive me." The Brookside soap star went on to reveal, that she didn't receive his message until the police were already at her door.
The 61-year-old emotionally told the publication: "The texts were sent at about 4am but I have an old phone and they didn't come through straight away. When they finally arrived the police were already at my house breaking the news that he'd gone." Recalling the moment that Tina's worst nightmare became a reality, she spoke about the police arriving at her Liverpool home.
