Birth: 1952 Death: 2024 Timothy Katter passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on May 22, 2024. He died in the comfort of his beloved home in San Anselmo.Tim was born in Jasper, Indiana, in 1952 to Noble and Ellen Katter.

Growing up in Newburgh on his family’s 10-acre farm, much of his time was spent helping his father tend to his garden, being a beloved big brother to his sisters Jane and Julia, and exploring the creeks and fields of Indiana with his best friend Kevin.Tim attended Castle High School where his father served as principal. He was crowned Prom King and was the organist of a garage band called “Speed Train.

” He played basketball and was the clubhouse manager for the Castle High Football Team. He excelled as a student, graduating salutatorian in 1970.That summer, Tim helped build the McDonald golf course, where he discovered a passion for the game that he would follow for the rest of his life.

Tim received a full ride scholarship from the Illinois Institute of Technology to study engineering. It is there where he continued to thrive in academics and was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. His fraternity brothers remember him for his wittiness, dry sense of humor, and loyal friendship.

He fostered relationships that remained steadfast throughout his life.Upon graduating college, his career in fire protection led him to California. He advanced quickly in his field due to his analytical mind and drive.

There he met his wife Andrea, and they married in 1976. Together.
