Tiger Wood's wife Elin Nordegren issued a brutal remark to the golfer's mistress when his serial cheating was finally revealed. The bombshell night all was uncovered, Elin chased her husband out of his house with his own golf club. It was a huge fall from grace for the much-respected golfer, who had earned a $1billion (£706million) fortune, including £78million in endorsements, had just won the Masters in Australia and that same year he was photographed meeting then-president Barack Obama at the White House.
Despite the huge scandal, Tiger continued to play - though his career has been called into question this week ahead of the Open Championship. Rival Colin Montgomerie even suggested that Woods should call time on his playing career having struggled to replicate the form that made him arguably golf's greatest ever player in years gone by. Woods shares two children - Sam and Charlie - with Elin but in November 2009, a story broke that he had been having a affair with a New York City nightclub hostess called Rachel Uchitel.
She had been snapped checking into the same hotel as the golfer during the American Masters and allegedly told pals she was in love with him. Woods tried to shut the accusations down before the story went public and is said to have put Elin on the phone with Rachel. The two women reportedly spoke for half an hour, but Elin wasn't convinced by her story.
Woods left his phone unattended and his wife went through it and found the name of another woman Jaime.
