Thousands of pounds' worth of wines and spirits are to go under the hammer in Scunthorpe over the next two days following the closure of an award-winning Yorkshire bistro. After renowned restaurant Pride and Provenance in Halifax went into liquidation in March, the insolvency specialists appointed to handle the closing of the business appointed Scunthorpe-based auctioneers Eddisons to dispose of its assets. As well as furniture and furnishings, more than 600 bottles of wine, dozens of bottles of spirits and a wide variety of liqueurs are up for auction, with the sale viewing session taking place at Eddisons Auction Centre on Dunlop Way in Scunthorpe today (Wednesday, May 22).

The online auction is scheduled to end at 1pm on Thursday, May 23.
