This Morning: Will Best tests out tree hugging This Morning viewers were left underwhelmed as Friday's edition (June 21) featured Celebrity Big Brother host Will Best reconnecting with nature during a segment on the show. Will was in the This Morning forest to mark the summer solstice and presented a feature on fairies before turning his attention to "forest bathing" later in the show. At one point Will hugged a tree.
It was explained to him that when you use your sense of touch when you hug someone you can release a hormone called Oxytocin which helps you bond with someone. He was told the same thing can happen in nature and it seemed to be working for him. As he hugged the tree he said: "You know what I can feel.
.. I'm connecting.
I think I love this tree. That is really nice." Following his tree hugging lay on the ground with a group holding hands and taking deep breaths to connect with nature.
He told hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary back in the studio they should join him next year. "You guys, you should come next year and join me..
.you should come and lie here. Get out of the studio and come and join me.
" Alison replied: "You know what I'm jealous."
