John Torode makes sandwiches on This Morning As Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard hosted Monday's episode of This Morning , the pair asked viewers to vote for their favourite sandwich as part of British Sandwich Week. The pair were joined in the kitchen by Masterchef judge John Torode who was on hand to make his gourmet sandwiches as he whipped up a storm on the ITV show. While making a sandwich, John, 58, showed Cat, 47, and Ben, 49, how to put a lettuce leaf correctly inside a sandwich and also said the sauce acts as a glue to get all the ingredients to stick together inside.
He explained: "So it holds into it's spot, because if we go that way, it's going to fall out," John expressed as the duo looked on amazed. However, viewers at home weren't best pleased with the segment and questioned why the show was showing them how to make a sandwich. " (sic) Another sarcastically said: "How to make a sandwich. Tomorrow on #thismorning - how to tie your shoelaces." Somebody else penned: "We have called this twitter, we said they would teach us how to make a butty.
And here we are...
