Despite Helldivers 2 players finally unlocking the new Emancipator Exosuit, many were devastated to find out that you couldn’t bring two mechs into a mission. Of course, that didn’t stop some from finding an exploit that allowed them to equip both bots in their loadouts. But while PC gamers were enjoying the Terminid and Automaton-smashing fun that inevitably comes with a dual exosuit build, PS5 players weren’t as lucky.
For those unfamiliar, Helldivers 2 on PC currently has an as-yet unpatched bug that lets you bring the Patriot and into a session. To do so, you have to equip one exosuit in your first stratagem slot, followed by the Supply Pack in the next. Then, on the third slot, you should be able to select the second mech – at least, that’s according to .
If this doesn’t work, some have succeeded by equipping the first mech, , picking an empty slot, and then pressing on the second mech. On the other hand, PS5 players, no matter which of the two methods they use, are unable to bring two exosuits into a mission. According to , pressing the second mech on the stratagem selection screen merely replaces the first each time.
Naturally, this has prompted plenty of complaints from the console portion of the player base. After all, getting to use two mechs in a match was what many were hoping for as soon as the Emancipator was announc.
