Proximity chat is set to join Fortnite in 2024. However, it will be joining Creative only as opposed to the whole battle royale experience. Epic Games confirmed the planned addition of proximity chat in their for this year posted on Trello.

It was originally pegged for Q2 2024, meaning it would have needed to debut this month. However, on May 31st, Epic delayed it to Q4. Seeing as it is now delayed to Q4 2024, fans should expect proximity chat to arrive in either October, November, or December.
