GREAT BARRINGTON — Jesse and Avery are not exactly strangers when they meet but their dogs, Attila and Betty, are in “ Dog People .” Leigh Strimbeck’s thoughtful, if fitful, new rom-com, without the flippant touch of froth. The play began its world premiere run over the weekend in the Leibowitz Black Box Theater at Bard College at Simon’s Rock’s Daniel Arts Center.
